Val guides you through every step. Val asks the sign-up questions, sends your inspection link, lets you know as each offer lands and answers your questions in plain English, any time.

- Straight answers about your offers, day or night
- Every dealer's conditions shown word for word
- Your details stay private until you pick a dealer
Val never pushes. Picking an offer, or none at all, is always your call.
Tell us about your car, and what's next.
Answer a few quick questions about the car you have and the one you want next. Year, make, model, trim. The more specific, the better (more on that below).
Get your inspection link.
Right after you sign up, we text and email you a link to your guided walkaround. Do it now, or later that day. Whenever you have 10 minutes and your car nearby.
Walk around your car. Our AI does the rest.
Open the link on your phone and follow the prompts: each angle, the interior, and any spot the AI asks for a closer look at. It picks up dents, scratches, tire wear, glass damage and dozens of other details that decide what your car is really worth.
Dealers see one report. They compete on price.
Your verified inspection goes to local dealers in our network, matched to your area and the car you want next. Everyone sees the same report, so they can price it right the first time. No "we'll need to see it in person." No surprises.
Val, your Valet, texts or emails you as each offer lands.
Pick the offer that fits.
You get every offer side by side, and Val explains how they stack up. Pick the one you like. Only that dealer gets your contact details and reaches out to set up the bill of sale. The others never see who you are.
None feel right? Walk away and keep your car. Nothing locks you into a sale.
The same eye a dealer would use. In your hand.
Our AI inspection is the same kind of tool dealers use at auctions and trade-in counters. As you take the guided photos, it records every detail that decides what your car is actually worth.
That's why offers don't change later. Dealers know exactly what they're buying, including any reconditioning they'll need to do, so the number they quote is the number on your bill of sale.
What the AI captures
- Dents + scratches
- Paint condition + matching
- Wheel curb rash + tire tread
- Glass cracks + chips
- Headlight + taillight clarity
- Interior wear
- Seat condition + stains
- Dashboard warning lights
- Odometer + service indicators
- VIN verification
- Aftermarket modifications
- Reconditioning cost estimate
Be specific about what you want next.
The car you're shopping for decides which dealers we bring in, and how hard they'll fight for your trade.
Just looking for an SUV
No dealer can tell if they have what you want. Generic interest, middling offers.
Honda Civic Si, manual
One brand, one rare trim. Only a few dealers can move on it.
2024 RAV4 Hybrid XLE, AWD, white
Toyota dealers with that exact trim in stock push harder for your trade.
Civic Si manual, Mazda3 Turbo, or VW GTI
Three brands chasing the same customer. That's a bidding war on your trade.
Dealers pay more for a trade-in when it leads to a sale on their lot. Tell us exactly what you want next, including alternatives, and we put your car in front of the dealers most motivated to win you. You're not committing to buy from any of them.
Questions, answered.
What does it cost?
Nothing. It's free. Your guided inspection, the verified condition report, dealer matching and every offer that comes in, at no cost to you.
No subscriptions, no hidden fees, and no commission off your sale. The dealer pays you directly.
How long until I get offers?
Usually within 24 hours of finishing your walkaround. We text and email you as each offer lands, so there's nothing to keep checking.
Harder-to-place cars can take a little longer. If things go quiet, Val will check in and tell you what's happening.
Who is Val?
Val is your CarTradeEasy Valet. Val runs your sign-up chat, then gives you one private page where you can follow your inspection, see every offer as it lands and ask questions any time.
Val also sends you a text or email at each step, so you never have to chase anyone.
Why does it matter what I'm shopping for next?
Dealers value a trade-in more when it leads to a sale on their lot. Matching you with dealers who have the exact car you want next gets you offers from the ones most motivated to win you.
Listing a few options across brands puts more dealers in competition. And you're not committing to buy from any of them.
Do I have to sell once I get offers?
No. If the offers aren't right, keep your car. No penalties and no follow-up calls.
Will dealers see my personal information?
No. Dealers see your car, the verified report, your general area and what you're shopping for next. Not your name, email, phone or address.
Only the dealer you pick gets your contact details, and they're the only one who'll reach out. No spam calls from dealers you didn't choose.
Can a dealer change the price later?
Dealers see the full verified inspection up front, including damage and reconditioning costs, so the offer they submit is the one they're prepared to honour on the bill of sale.
If a dealer drops the price when you arrive (and the car matches the report), tell us. Dealers who do that get removed from our network.
What if my car gets no offers?
It's rare, but it can happen. Some cars, mileage ranges or local market conditions just don't draw bids in a given week.
You keep your verified condition report either way. It's handy if you sell privately or try again later.
Where do you operate?
We don't limit the platform by region. Our dealer network is growing, so coverage is stronger in some areas than others. Every car is matched with the active dealers who can move on it.
If your area has fewer dealers, offers may take a bit longer. We'll keep you posted.
Why not just go to dealers myself?
One report, real numbers. Every dealer sees the same inspection, so they quote a real price instead of a cautious lowball they "adjust" later.
They compete at the same time. Offers in under 24 hours, not three weekends of driving between dealerships.
You stay anonymous, on your schedule. No pressure, no "let me check with my manager," no finance office.
Why not an instant-quote site like Clutch?
Instant quotes are a generic number built from your VIN and a few details. They're designed to come in low, because the company has to cover buying, reconditioning, storing and reselling your car, plus its margin.
We put your car in front of several dealers competing on the same verified report. One customer's 2013 Beetle got $1,249 from Clutch and $2,500 from a Volkswagen dealer through us. Same car, same week.
